Fairfield police say a Brooklyn man pretended to be from Geek Squad to steal from a resident.

Police say a woman received an email on Tuesday from Geek Squad, falsely claiming she made a $525 purchase.

To dispute the charge, the victim called the number listed in the email and spoke with a man who pretended to be from the company.

They also provided their bank account information and granted remote access to their computer.

The victim was also tricked into they had received a $25,000 refund by mistake.

The woman withdrew the money from her bank and was informed someone would stop by her home and pick up the money.

She also called police.

Police say Bin Sun, 27, arrived at her home, in a vehicle that matched the description given to police, to collect the money.

Sun was arrested and charged with larceny.

He is expected to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Feb. 20.
