2 is on your block this morning. Yeah, today we're in Kingsbridge. Our new Ellie Milo is at the Bronx yoga lab right now. Ellie, get your that on. Yeah, ladies, I've got a little costume change here. I'm kind of more settled down, more relaxed. Right now we're at the Bronx yoga Lab and I'm here with Carrie and Dion. And ladies, it is hot. Carrie, can you tell me why? Sure. So the heat adds a really lovely element to exercise in that it helps the body both to sweat and get out toxins, and it helps to add a cardio element to a lot of the movements that you do and especially at 6 in the morning. Your body is not quite warmed up as you start class, and so the heat also allows for the muscles to relax, allowing you to go a little deeper into your stretches without injury. And you know what else can bronxites expect here, Dion, when they walk into the Bronx yoga lab, what else do you guys offer? Well, you, you can expect it to be hot all year round. Especially now that we say goodbye to the summer, um, you can expect a wonderful diverse community, um, great classes in yoga, um, class of 26 and 2, so a variety of classes for everyone. So would you say this is like a hidden gem here in the Kingsbridge community? Absolutely. Dionne and I, Dionne grew up here. I've lived here for many years and we're both very committed to this community. The studio has been here but it's kind of hidden we do finally have signs and it's a really wonderful place to just come disconnect from urban life and breathe, move and explore your body and your spirit. I love that and before we send it back to you guys, I said if you find me. Can exchange bracelets. So I'm gonna give Carrie one here. News. 12 is on your block this morning. Our is in Kings Bridge at Godwin coffee at Text Mex eats. Well, what's happening out there looks good from here, ladies. This is a whole different environment. I've still got my Bronx yo lab shirt on here, but we are now switching to food. Fernando. This is the manager here. Tell me, how long have you guys been here? We've been here approximately three years now, but we've been in the neighborhood, approximately 10 years, more or less. We were elsewhere, but we are here now. So we're still in business. And what have we got here? You said these are some of the Bronx site's favorites. So tell me what we've got going on. Yes, we got the bacon egg and cheese and the Tamales, which are one of the biggest sellers and fastest making items here in the restaurant and you need to go somewhere quick. This is the quickest thing we could go and you know your girl is going to take a bite of it. So we're going to give this a taste test. There's nothing like a bacon egg and cheese. OK? And Fernando can you show viewers what we've got going on here. Yes, we got French. We are now guys and we are trading those bracelets all day. So, come find us. News. 12 is on your block. And today we're getting a taste of heaven in Kings Bridge. That's where we find our reporter News. 12. Lie Mario. She's at God when coffee and Tex Mex eats right now. Ellie looks busy. Yeah, we are back at Godwin coffee and Tex Mex. And since we left it's gotten pretty, pretty busy here. Right. Fernando. Absolutely. It's been busy and it's going to get busier so far we're open until 60 clock and a lot of people don't know. We have burgers. We have the typical American food, bacon egg and cheese omelets. But we also have a small Mexican menu. It's pretty small, but it's pretty effective. We have the typical tamales. We have the tacos and the eggs rancheros, Rancheros. We're calling it and, you know, not a lot of people know that we're selling that. We got some soups. Winter is coming up. We'll soon be having cream of turkey as well. Look at that. That is amazing. News 12 is on your block this morning. Yes. Today we're in Kings Bridge, our news 12. And what is at more, more coffee and wine right now? Lie living it up this morning. What do you have in there guys? We went from yoga to a bacon egg and cheese and now we are having a delicious cup of coffee. But before that, I want to introduce you guys to Ernie. Ernie. I have not heard of coffee and wine. This is such a unique place. Tell me a little bit about the back story. Um Well, basically, it's a, you know, we felt that the neighborhood was changing um here in the Kingsbridge area and we felt that it was important for us to provide something different for the customers in the new gentrifying neighborhood that's been growing here. College kids from Manhattan College. Um And um you know, we wanted to bring something fresh to the community. Um basically a e a European theme um infused with some Latin flavors. And um you know, we thought, we thought that, you know, uh a concept of beer and wine is uh a very unique clientele. Um We love coffee and wine and we felt that that was gonna be, you know, something very, you know, kind of something that the, the community was gonna embrace pretty well. Well, you know, I feel very much embraced right now. We've got our friendship bracelets. So cheers on that and now we're about to cheers on this amazing coffee because it just looks so delicious.
