Hundreds of residents in Allerton remain displaced weeks after a fire destroyed their Wallace Avenue apartments. Faulty electrical wiring left over 250 people, including children, without homes. Families now live in a Bronx hotel, say they're unsure of what's next after their extended stay ends on Feb. 28. "One day you're sleeping at home in your bed, and the next day you completely have nothing," said displaced resident Jasmine. She says she hopes she and other families can stay at the hotel until the end of the school year so their children can have some sense of stability.
