The coronavirus pandemic has claimed more than 600,000 lives in the U.S. - and Saturday night, families of COVID-19 victims and survivors marched to raise awareness and call for action at Cadman Plaza Park.
Attendees tell News 12 that many have not had the opportunity to grieve due to coronavirus restrictions on funerals. Many wore yellow to honor the lives lost.
They walked side-by-side across the Brooklyn Bridge as part of largest nationwide day of awareness and action for COVID-19 survivors. They're calling on lawmakers to support the ongoing needs for survivors.
The march ended in Manhattan.
