Nearly two months after a 17-year-old was gunned down in the Bronx, a community is making a call for justice.
Police say Vlana Roberts was shot dead at Vyse Avenue and East 181st Street on June 2. Her brother was with her at the time.
Community organizations assembled Wednesday evening to question why the person responsible has not been caught.
"I feel that (police) should be on top of this more because she was a young female with a whole future ahead of her," says Kirk Stinson, Roberts' brother. "My chest hurts that my family has been going through this. It seems like we're not getting any better."
Roberts' friends and family maintain that she was just hanging out in the area at the time of her death, not doing anything wrong.
