Worried family members and community organizers gathered in East Flatbush Sunday in the hopes of raising awareness about a missing woman who they say needs medical attention.
Family members say 60-year-old Brenda Wright has dementia, Alzheimer's and lupus and may desperately need her medication.
Wright also goes by Joy in her neighborhood and may respond to that name as well.
She has lived on Church Avenue and East 51st Street for decades - and has never gone missing before.
Her family says she was last seen on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
On Sunday, they organized a search party, with the help of Assemblyman Nick Perry's office, Public Advocate Jumaane Williams' office and the community organization East Flatbush Village.
They handed out flyers, visited local businesses and asked community members if anyone may have information on her whereabouts.
Family members tell News 12 that Wright has parents, siblings, children, grandchildren and a loving husband of more than 20 years who are desperate for her to be home safe.
They are offering a reward in return for information are asking anyone who may have seen her to contact the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-577-TIPS.
