A woman who went missing a week ago while walking her dog returned home Sunday, according to her relatives.
The sister of Diana Perez, 42, said that her sister wasn't in a state of mind to speak to members of the media at this time. She said an ambulance would transport Perez to a hospital, where she would be examined and evaluated.
Perez was last seen walking her dog June 14. Surveillance video showed her tying the dog up near a car wash in Hunts Point, about four miles from her Parkchester home.
Perez missed her son's graduation last week, causing her family to grow even more concerned.
Her relatives don't know what happened, but they are just relieved that she is back. Relatives thanked the police, news outlets and people who helped by handing out fliers.
There is no official word on the circumstances of Perez's disappearance.
