The family of a Bronx bodega worker who was accidently killed by police during an armed robbery are renewing their call for justice three years after his death.
A memorial was held Monday for 20-year-old Reynaldo Cuevas. The family also hosted a Mass in his honor earlier in the day in Manhattan.
Investigators say Cuevas was struck by an errant bullet while he worked at his uncle's Franklin Avenue bodega. They say police officers mistook Cuevas for one of the suspects. The officer who shot Cuevas was not charged in the accidental shooting.
Some attorneys say Cuevas' case has not been a priority to the city, and called for prosecutors to review it.
