Family of slain basketball player Darius Lee meets with Rev. Al Sharpton ahead of his funeral

The family of Darrius Lee met with Rev. Al Sharpton Saturday before ahead of the burial of their son next week.
Lee’s family gathered with Sharpton and the National Action Network a week he after he was killed at a mass shooting in Harlem.
"The community must rise up and say we cannot tolerate that," said Sharpton.
Late last Sunday, Lee was at a barbecue party at a park along the Harlem River Parkway. Shots were fired and nine people were hit including Lee. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was the sole victim who was killed.
"Darius was raised by an amazing mom, step dad and father," said coach and family friend Billy Council. "I just want you guys to keep this family uplifted in prayer."
Lee, who was set to graduate this December, was described by those who knew him as a basketball star who played at St. Raymond's High School in the Bronx, before excelling at Houston Baptist University.
Lee’s funeral is set to take place Monday with Sharpton expected to speak.
