5h agoA petition is now gaining steam on the internet after a viral video showed a woman falsely accusing a Black teen of stealing her phone in a hotel lobby.
A video posted to Instagram shows the woman saying, “Give it back.”
The teen and his father, Grammy-winning Jazz trumpeterKeyon Harrold, were staying as guests at the Arlo Hotel in Manhattan when the incident happened.
In the petition, they go on to say the woman later physically attacked them and that the hotel managers sided with the woman.
The woman’s phone was later found in an Uber.
Now, they are petitioning for the Manhattan district attorney to pursue this case and charge the woman with assault and battery.
