Hours after finding the body of a 2-month-old child in the woods in upstate New York, police have arrested the baby's father and alleged killer in the Bronx.
Jose Feliciano, 51, was arrested Saturday night.
He is being charged with two counts of murder and manslaughter after police found the remains of his 2-month-old son, Mason Whyte, in the woods behind an inn in Duchess County. Investigators say the baby had been choked to death on Dec. 10.
Feliciano and his 31-year-old girlfriend allegedly drove the body almost 50 miles upstate to get rid of the remains. Police found the body Saturday afternoon and arrested Feliciano nine hours later in the Bronx.
Feliciano is expect to be arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court on Monday. His girlfriend has not been arrested.
