A Bronx father is warning other families about the dangers of online predators that he learned firsthand.

According to charges filed this week, the man’s two young daughters were abused for months by a longtime family friend.

According to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, Raymond Ortiz, of Connecticut, touched the girls inappropriately multiple times and used Facebook’s video messenger to expose himself to the younger, 8-year-old daughter, who was logged-in to her father’s Facebook account on his phone.

"I am worried not only for my daughters but also for other people out there. And my mission is to get them off the street to make sure he doesn't happen to somebody else,” says the father.

The father spoke about the ease for children to pose as an older age online, leading them into dangerous situations. He suggests that websites like Facebook toughen up their rules.

"There a lot of kids on social media, they go anywhere on the internet and these people will know where to go to lure kids,” says the father.

Ortiz’s case will now go before a grand jury.
