Police say one person is dead following a shooting in the Bronx Thursday night. 

They say the shooting happened near East 169th St. and Washington Avenue. The incident happened at around 7:57 p.m., police say. 

Police say a 37-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the head. 

Police say the 37-year-old was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

There is no confirmation on the condition of the victim at this time.
