Two firefighters suffered injuries while responding to a fire that broke out at a home on White Plains Road on Friday, according to the FDNY.
The fire broke out at 344 White Plains Road and heavy smoke covered the area.
Fire officials say that the fire originated from a second-floor apartment in the home. Over 100 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
A firefighter was spotted at the scene being taken out on a stretcher. The FDNY did confirm that some first responders required medical attention for smoke inhalation.
