FDNY: 3 children critically injured in Brownsville apartment fire; Father arrested

The FDNY said the children, ages 4, 5 and 8, were alone inside the 11th floor apartment on Livonia Avenue.

A father was arrested after his three children were critically injured on Sunday during an apartment fire in Brownsville.
The FDNY said the children, ages 4, 5 and 8, were alone inside the 11th floor apartment on Livonia Avenue.
Fire officials said the children had to be revived with CPR when firefighters arrived at the scene.
The FDNY said that the firefighters' early response time saved the children’s lives.
The children were taken to the hospital where they were listed in critical but stable condition.
Police said charges for the children's father were pending as of Sunday night.
