FDNY: 3 dead, 13 people hurt in 3-alarm fire at Crown Heights apartment building

A video from the early moments of the scene shows firefighters fighting the blaze as flames shot out of the first floor entrance.

The FDNY says three people have died and 13 other people were hurt by a three-alarm fire that broke out in an apartment building at 242 Albany Avenue in Crown Heights on Sunday morning. 
Authorities say the fire spread to multiple parts of the building. A video from the early moments of the scene shows firefighters fighting the blaze as flames shot out of the first floor entrance.
The three victims who lost their lives received emergency CPR at the scene, according to authorities. Those three people were later pronounced dead at the hospital. The FDNY says 12 other people were examined by EMS, including one firefighter.
