A brand-new nail salon owned by Jenny Bui, Cardi B’s nail artist, has burned down just days after she moved into the Throgs Neck location.
The FDNY says a two-alarm fire started in the back of the business at 3821 E. Tremont Ave. around 5:40 a.m.
Bui says she was just gearing up for her grand opening next month. She claims she has lost $100,000 worth of items in that fire since she had yet to transfer the insurance from her previous salon in the Fordham section to the new location.
“When I saw this, my reaction was that I was about to pass out,” says Bui. “Luckily, I have my neighbors who held me, and they said, ‘It’s OK, Jenny. We’re all going to help you.'”
The FDNY says the cause of this fire has yet to be determined.
