FDNY: Crews respond to fire at vacant home in in Pelham Gardens

The fire did not spread to any other buildings nearby and was contained within 30 minutes.

A vacant home in Pelham Gardens went up in flames on Monday evening, according to the FDNY. 
The call came in for the fire at around 8:20 p.m., and neighbors say they heard the fire crackling and embers falling all around the street and on their roofs along Tenbroeck Avenue. 
The fire did not spread to any other buildings nearby and was contained within 30 minutes. 
The FDNY is working to determine the cause of the fire.
