An FDNY employee has been arrested after police sources say he made a false report about being slashed and robbed of his Christmas gifts by two men.
Steven Sampson, 41, of the Bronx told police he was slashed by two men Sunday morning after pulling over on Randall and Bolton avenues to readjust the presents he had in his trunk.
Police say Sampson told them the two men approached him, started a fight, and slashed him in the shoulder. He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and received seven stitches.
However, a source says Sampson gave police three different stories and none of them made sense.
Sampson later confessed to police that he may have been stabbed at a Christmas party, the source says, and didn't want his wife to find out he had attended the party with another woman.
He fases charges for making a false written statement and falsely reporting an incident.
