Fire crews fought a blaze at a six-story building late Friday night in Grand Concourse.
Officials say it began on the second floor of the building between Anthony Avenue and East 182nd Street.
Firefighters encountered smoke and flames when they arrived just after 12 a.m. The fire was under control by 12:30 a.m.
Officials say the fire was caused by an E-bike. They found a hazardous lithium-ion battery inside the building.
Authorities say hazmat crews were called in as a precaution.
No injuries were reported.
