The FDNY spent Monday evening fighting a fire that broke out in the basement of a two-family home in the Bronx.
Fire officials say the fire was able to be put out in just over 30 minutes, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
There was heavy smoke coming from the fire, and nearby residents were unsettled by the smoky conditions in the neighborhood.
“Well, it doesn’t make me terrified, but it definitely concerns me” said one neighbor. “There has been a lot of fires here in the neighborhood.”
