A fire on the first floor of a Fieldston home took 12 units and 60 firefighters to extinguish on Saturday, the FDNY says.
The fire happened at a home at 461 W 238th St.
People that live in the house say the fire started just before 6 a.m.
Quinn Doelger says he woke up minutes before his alarm to smoke filling his room.
He says he had to wake up his roommates because everyone was asleep when the smoke took over the house.
"I walked out, opened my door, turned on the light and realized there was smoke in my room. So, I woke up my roommates...We kind of ran outside, called 911, they showed up and took care of it," he said.
No injuries were reported.
