Firefighters respond to basement fire in Kingsbridge
2h agoA man who was caught in the machinery of a cement mixer truck has died, according to the FDNY.
Fire officials say the incident happened just before 1:30 p.m. at 1140 Grinnell Place. First responders arrived at the scene, where the victim was "entangled in machinery" involving a cement mixer truck.
According to fire officials, the victim was a 52-year-old man. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
