The FDNY responded to a wall collapse in Bushwick Friday.
Residents at 226 Palmetto St. had to be evacuated after their basement wall collapsed due to flooding that had reached the ceiling, according to the family.
“We've had flooding in this area for decades, before Ida for decades. They've done nothing, the city has done nothing, the sewer system always got flooded. Of course, it was worse with Ida,” said Ada Dejesus-Milam, a resident at 226 Palmetto St.
News12 reached out to the Department of Buildings, but has not heard back.
