Five people are recovering after an early morning fire tore through an apartment building in Morris Park.
Broken windows now cover the outside of the apartment building on Rhinelander Avenue. Fire officials say the three-alarm fire sent three firefighters and two residents to the hospital with minor injuries like smoke inhalation.
Fire officials say the fire started around 3 a.m. on the 5th floor of the building and spread to two apartments above. Over 100 firefighters were on scene helping to get the situation under control.
The Red Cross is now helping those people whose apartments were destroyed by this fire.
