FDNY: Woman faces murder, arson charges following deadly Bed-Stuy building fire

A woman accused of intentionally setting a fire that killed a 70-year-old man in Bed-Stuy Friday night has been arrested.

The fire occurred at a building on Monroe Street between Tompkins and Throop avenues.

Vetus Roberts died following the fire, according to authorities.

Police say 65-year-old Jennifer Rochard has been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree arson.
