In three days, Bronx residents will have just one option remaining in the borough to see a movie at a commercial theater.

The Concourse Plaza Multiplex is closing its doors after over 30 years in business. The closure comes after its parent company National Amusements told News 12 earlier this spring that they could not come to a lease agreement with the landlord.

Residents say it’s a major loss to the neighborhood. Maria Feliciano says her whole family comes to the theater and the community needs to rally to stop establishments like this one from closing.

"We don't have entertainment,” she said. "That theater is very nice and clean and beautiful...We need more people to get together."

According to their website, the Multiplex Cinema's last showing will be at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
