Firefighters in Yonkers are at the scene of a four-alarm fire involving multiple structures.

The fire erupted in the School Street neighborhood, according to a Yonkers Fire Department post on social media.

Fire crews on scene says at least four buildings were on fire with a partial collapse of the first building where the fire started.

Officials say two buildings are a loss. At least a dozen families are displaced.

The Red Cross will be assisting those displaced.

Fire crews say they were worried about frozen gear and slick spots while battling the fire due to outside temperatures.
