Fitbit has issued a recall for its Ionic series of smartwatches due to a possible burn hazard.
According to information listed by the
Consumer Product Safety Commission, the lithium-ion battery can overheat and cause burns. In the U.S., there have been 78 reports of burns related to the issue. Of those, two were third-degree burns and four were second-degree burns.

Anyone with a watch is urged to stop using it immediately. They can be returned to Fitbit for a refund and a possible 40% discount on some Fitbit products.
