Cats across the city now have a new place to be welcomed with open arms and get the care they need.
Flatbush Veterinary Clinic’s multi-million-dollar facility offers a full surgical suite to perform spaying and neutering for dogs, cats and other animals. It is a nonprofit that helps animals stay healthy.
William Zweigart is a lifelong animal lover. He says he felt compelled to help, and with the help of $2 million raised by community members was able to open the clinic.
"This facility is going allow us to double our rescue and operations so that we can continue to help more cats, especially the ones that need us the most,” said Zweigart. “As we have fewer cats born outside, our shelters will not be overburdened.”
The clinic is expected to open in a few weeks. If you’re looking to learn more about the initiative, click here.
