Flights in WWII warbirds happening this weekend in Stratford

People in Stratford will have the opportunity to fly in a piece of World War II history this weekend.
The Commemorative Air Force Capital Wing and AirPower Tour will fly their WWII warbirds at the Sikorsky Airport Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are available for flight experiences in the vintage aircrafts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For most flights, tickets can be purchase on-site.
Tickets do need to be purchased in advance for flights in the Fairchild UC-61 Forwarder.
The aircraft was used by the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II to spot enemy submarines off the Atlantic coast.
Other planes featured were used to train fighter pilots. Along with planes used for flights, there will be military aircraft on display.
Organizers say the flights offer people an once in a lifetime experience.
"It's wonderful to see them in museums and see them just sitting on the ground. But when you actually get to fly in them and spell them, hear them, it's a great way to experience what your grandfather and your aunts, uncles experienced during the war. They are very rare, you don't get this chance very often," says Len Roberto, board of directors at the Connecticut Air and Space Center.
