Drivers this morning faced lane closures on the Bronx River Parkway due to flooding from last night's storms.

Southbound traffic from the Bronx River Parkway was blocked at Yonkers Avenue. The northbound side was closed at The Bronx border.

A flood advisory was issued until 2 p.m. about runoff from the Bronx River causing flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas.

New York City Emergency Management said runoff from the storm caused the Bronx River to rise to a "moderate flood stage of around 3.7 feet early this morning."

The agency advised that runoff could cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage areas and low-lying spots.

The Major Deegan Expressway was also shut down last night due to flooding but has since reopened.

Subways were back on track as well this morning.
