The Fordham University softball team was looking to make school history when it recently competed against Temple University.
Rams senior outfielder Krystle Henry went 3-4 in the first game and broke the school record of 188 hits. Henry was still on first base in the third inning when Melissa Andrews came up to bat with the bases loaded. Andrews smacked a grand slam, helping the Rams take a 14-4 lead. In the fourth inning, Andrews hit another home run. Fordham beat Temple 22-4.
The Lady Rams notched five home runs and 22 runs in the game, both school records. The win marked the team's 14th straight victory.
The Fordham women went on Friday to beat Temple 5-3 for their 15th straight win.
