The Caravan of Angels Foundation is putting together virtual concerts for seniors during the pandemic.
The over 200 "angels" have performed on Broadway and beyond, but now they're recording themselves at home for online shows, which are then sent to nursing homes across the United States and northern Italy.
The founder of the organization told News 12 that they purposely pick songs hoping that the listeners will remember them.
"In some way it's also cures because most of the time those who have Alzheimer's, as soon as they hear the lyrics of the song they start to sing it," says Francesca Carpenter, founder of the Caravan of Angels Foundation.
She says the concerts are meant to make the most vulnerable population feel loved.
