Tiona Laster said she spent six months looking for her daughter, by putting up flyers and searching the streets. Laster says she felt that she never had any support from authorities.

"My daughter was a chronic runaway. She was a victim and I basically had to strap my boots on and had to get out here and look for her myself," she explained.

The Child Find of America said 2,300 kids are going missing every day in the United States.

CEO Monique Ferguson-Riley said elected officials and different organizations were invited to stand with current missing youth, survivors, and their families during the rally.
