A new 360 gaming experience is connecting friends and strangers together in a safe way.
Game of 1,000 Boxes is part live game show and part audio-visual thrill ride that takes audiences through 12 different games.
The games range from trivia to reaction time-type games to team-building exercises.
State Lottery Studios creative director Gabe Liberti says the company is excited to be introducing the game after months of isolation.
“This is really just giving people an opportunity to come in and interact with other people,” Liberti says. “Friends and strangers alike in a safe way.”
At the beginning of the game, one box out of 1,000 boxes is randomly picked, and that’s the box that the winning team will be awarded. That box can never be won again.
No two shows are the same so even those who played the game will have a different experience if they play again.
The game can be played at Lightbox New York City.
CEO Daphné Jouanneteau says everyone is 6 feet apart at the venue. They are currently operating well-below the 300-person capacity.
