Family members said goodbye Saturday to three relatives killed in a wreck on the Bronx River Parkway, and they say the city is partially to blame.
A funeral was held at Riverside Church for Derrick, Jamel and Keywann Gardner, who will be buried at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla. The men were traveling in a car with four other relatives when it jumped the median and went into oncoming traffic earlier this month. Three other people in the car also died, one remains in the hospital.
The Gardners? lawyer says the barrier is too low and the city should have fixed it when three people were killed in a similar accident on the highway in the 80s. The family plans to file papers to sue the city.
