A father that was killed in his car during a robbery in East Williamsburg was laid to rest Friday night.
Sean Robinson, 33, was sitting in the passenger seat of his Ford Mustang in East Williamsburg when police say a robbery turned deadly in June.
Surveillance video shows a suspect walk up to the car and demand cash. The suspect then pistol whips the driver and shoots Robinson.
Brooke, Robinson’s friend who was nearby at the time of the incident, tried to resuscitate him. She says the incident reminded her of her brother’s murder 13 years ago.
"Immediately took me back to what happened with my brother and all the questions, and I felt like I kind of had another opportunity to be there for someone,” she says.
Robinson served in the Army Reserve. He leaves behind his 5-year-old daughter, his 4-year-old son, who was named after him, and his fiancé.
His fiancé says she will look for his smile in their children.
The NYPD is still looking for the shooter and ask anyone who may have information to contact them.
