Game 5 of the World Series was the final home game of the season at Yankee stadium.

News 12 has been talking to fans throughout the series as they traveled to the Bronx for Games 3, 4 and 5.

Richie Garcia is from Puerto Rico; he booked his flight to New York City after the Bombers were crowned the American League Champions.

"They call me Yankee, because I am a big Yankee fan of over 62 years," said Garcia.

Raised in Manhattan, Garcia grew up as a Yankee fan. He moved to Puerto Rico 30 years ago.

"I have a Yankee room in my house, just nothing but memorabilia," said Garcia.

The self-proclaimed die-hard fan has made it a tradition to travel for regular season game, but he's never been to a World Series.

"I have great memories with them, and I continue to have them," said Garcia.

For Game 5, Garcia and his wife got tickets in the outfield. With the Yankees down 0-3 as they went into Game 4 on Wednesday, there was no guarantee that Garcia would make it into the stadium. His once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was made possible when the Bombers avoided a sweep and beat the dodgers 11- 4 in Game 4.

"I was up in the air yesterday, I celebrated just as much as the people in there at Yankee Stadium," said Garcia.

Garcia says despite the outcome of Game 5, he is confident it won't be another 15 years before another Yankees world series.

"We're going to have a few more, I am confident, we have a young team, a good young team," said Garcia.
