Sen. Richard Blumenthal announced that he, along with Sen. Chris Murphy and Rep. Jim Himes are supporting Ganim for reelection.
"Senator Chris Murphy, Congressman Jim Himes and I feel very strongly that the people of Bridgeport deserve Mayor Ganim's leadership again," said Sen. Blumenthal said. "He's been relentless in persuing more funding and support from the federal government, better policing, more and better education for young people."
State Sen. Marilyn Moore, who will be a write-in candidate, said, "Fortunately, people in Bridgeport are sick and tired of the corruption and those who support it. Voters are excited and ready to fill in the bubble next to 1E and write in Moore."
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
