Gas prices are up just in time for the busy travel weekend.
As many people plan to hit the road for Memorial Day weekend, gas prices have risen to nearly $5 a gallon at most pumps.
“I used to use only $30, now I don’t know, $30 is not even full,” said one woman filling up her tank in Eastchester. “So, I don’t know how much its going to be, $60 and it’s not even full.”
She ended up paying $75 to fill up her Hyundai Sonata.
High gas prices will not be the only challenge this weekend.
AAA has advice on traffic this weekend.
They say the worst time to travel is between noon and 7 p.m. They are also reminding travelers to drive safely and be patient as millions of people are expected to hit the roads.
