The season of giving has kicked off in New York City, and members of the United States Marine Corps were on hand in Coney Island collecting gifts for the Toys for Tots drive.
The event, hosted by Be Proud Inc., is about much more than just handing out toys.
"We want to put a smile on the faces that don't have it right now," said Alex Zhorod, chairman of Be Proud Inc. "They're families [that] are not able to provide them with the gift."
This is the 15th year that the organization has hosted the Toys for Tots drive.
