Two Bronx residents are bringing the history of their borough to life through a podcast.

"Go Bronx Pod" is hosted by Bronx Tourism Council Executive Director Olga Luz Tirado and Bronx-born historian Angel Hernandez.

The hosts say they the pandemic gave them the opportunity to act on the idea.

They currently use the Huntington Free Library to tape their episodes.
Topics on the show range from famed writer Edgar Allan Poe, who once lived in the Bronx, to the borough's connection to Batman.

The host say their podcast is "edu-taining" -- educating and entertaining at the same time.
"It's just a lot of fun for us to produce it so we are hoping it is a lot of fun for people to listen to it," Luz Tirado says.

Luz Tirado and Hernandez have 26 podcast episodes planned.

Residents can listen to "Go Bronx Pod" on platforms like Stitcher, Apple Podcast and Spotify. New episodes air every Wednesday.
