According
to state Senate sources, the mayoral control bill, which expired Thursday,
has reached the governor, despite a meeting to discuss gun legislation being
called for.
If
this is not signed into effect by midnight, NYC will revert back to the elected
school board system until an extension is signed in the future.
If
signed, it would approve a two-year extension of mayoral control over NYC
schools.
The
governor has 10 days to either veto it or sign it into law.
