Gov. Kathy Hochul apologized on Thursday for a comment that sparked controversy regarding the education level of kids in the Bronx.

Her remark was made on Monday at the Milken Institute Global Conference in California. The topic of conversation was expanding economic opportunities for low-income communities in artificial intelligence.
"I was focusing on disparities in education. I had conversations with elected leaders about and I visited schools in the Bronx and it was concerning to me. But I said before I chose the wrong words to articulate my concern about children," said Hochul while at a press conference in Brooklyn.
