Gov. Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency ahead of this weekend’s massive winter storm set to pummel the area with snow.

Hochul says the state is prepared for the storm and is not at risk of running out of salt when treating the roads this weekend.

In addition, Hochul has authorized all state employees to work remotely on Monday due to the storm.
