Saturday was the last day of the season for the famous Bronx Night Market in Fordham, which featured local food vendors and merchants from all over the city.
The cold weather did not stop New Yorkers from coming to support the event on its last hurrah of the season.
The event featured over 50 food vendors and merchants. It has attracted more than 150,000 food lovers from all over the city since it was established in 2018.
Founder and CEO Marco Shalma said his mission was to show the city what the Bronx has to offer.
“It’s been a long season, and we wanted to do another one in November just to say goodbye to everybody,” he said. "I’m just so proud of my team and the vendors to come over here and bring some joy to the Bronx.”
Bronx Night Market will return to Fordham Plaza next spring.
Shalma also said he’s exploring the options of making it into a semi-permanent winter market so Bronx residents can enjoy it throughout the holidays.
