Greenburgh Snow Angels clear driveways, walkways for those in need of help
The Greenburgh Snow Angels program launched more than 30 years ago to help those on fixed incomes, unable to pay for snow removal.

It may look like a winter wonderland to most people, but Saturday's storm left behind some big problems for others.
Although residents like 85-year-old Pat Smith, of Irvington, has tried to remove snow from her driveway, she says she couldn't do it without the help of a group of young volunteers called the Greenburgh Snow Angels.
"I think it’s wonderful. I'm so happy to see them. I was surprised," she told News 12.
The Snow Angels are made up of local public school students who travel throughout the Hudson Valley, clearing steps, walkways and driveways for elderly and disabled homeowners.
"I always think, what can I do to make my community a better place? I feel like I'm such a small fish in a big world. It’s important to make an impact," says Alex Shapiro.
The Greenburgh Snow Angels program launched more than 30 years ago to help those on fixed incomes, unable to pay for snow removal.
All ages are welcome to join the team by signing up on the Town of Greenburgh website.
