A Greenpoint business is letting Brooklyn residents enjoy their signature cocktails, even if they can't actually take a seat at the bar.
Ponyboy New York's saving grace while their location is closed is a takeout version of their drinks, which includes their best-selling spicy mezcal watermelon margarita.
"If people don't show up we go under ... I woke up to a dozen different friends and the news on TV that we could sell cocktails to go, and I was like, now we're talking," says co-founder James Dorje.
The sales also put some money in the pockets of local artists, who make the labels on the products.
Each bottle costs $50, which gives you five cocktails served on the rocks.
"Maybe this whole cocktail to go thing goes so well that when life goes back to the next version of normal, that they won't take that away," says Dorje.
