A group of parents has launched a coalition to deal with class sizes - but they don't want to limit the number of kids in the classroom.

A law enacted in 2022 required city schools to reduce the size, but the Coalition for Class Size Equity says it has resulted in unintended consequences in certain areas - like limited seating.

The coalition says the law makes it necessary to bus some students from their current schools to schools that have more room.

It also says the smaller class sizes have resulted in displaced libraries and specialty rooms.
